Ugarte's Poker Grovel #18, or Where's Wildo?
I was really looking forward to blogging the tournament, but frankly there is more to blog about the software than there is about my play. I busted out quickly and without much drama ... but of course the lack of drama is what is so bad about the software.
So with much props to tournament winner Otis (who gets a link to his non-poker site for winning), not quite as much props (but still substantial props) to second place Chris Halverson and bronze props to Pauly, here’s my story.
Man, I think everyone saw me blow that huge chip lead. I should have won, but made a couple of crucial mistakes… plus a beat beat was wedged in between two horrible decisions. Oh well, next time, I won’t do that. But I had such a friggin’ great time bullying the small stacks around at the Final Table. Thepower of a big stack is amazing… to raise UTG with 3-4 offsuit and to have an small ace fold to you… that’s RESPECT!
Nice write-up.... until next time.

You can blame me for Wil not being there… I’ve been on the move and had no time to play myself, let alone get Wil there. I’ll work real hard on next time!!

Hey Ugarte,
I’m trying to piece together the final finishes from the tournament so we have a record from both events. I don’t suppose you or Rick remember what spot you went out it? Or even who went out before and after you? If you have any recollections at all, head over to my site and check out the post about it from earlier in the week. Thanks.
