John McCain for V.P.

John Kerry’s V.P. that is.  Apparently it could happen. Sure, it is not too likely.  But I think such a ticket would pretty much spell Bush’s doom --and that would be a good thing.

I’ve been dreaming of that pairing for a while now.

But it won’t happen.

I think it would be good for the political system as well to have such a bi-partisan alliance.

You gotta know that there is a HUGE part of McCain that would love to do that to Bush, so he just might do it.

The question for Kerry is, how bad do you want to be President?  Hard to see those two together losing to George and Co.

McCain is only pro-life to the extent that he intends to run for Prez again as a Republican. His views on the issue have flip-flopped some over the years.

You can’t have a VP that disgarees with the P. And if McCain succombs to Kerry he loses all his appeal and if Kerry succombs to McCain...well…

give me one good reason why you can’t have a vp that disagrees with the p.

The Vice-Presidential debate as an opportunity to advance the agenda of the Presidential nominee.  The questions just aren’t on the order of “If the President were to die ...”

Though that would be a pretty cool question.

Even the presidential debates aren’t a great forum for the pres. candidates to advance their agendas.  Am I wrong in remembering that the system is designed to give the guy with the most votes the P and the guy with the second most votes the VP, and that it is merely a function of the way our campaigns are structured that it’s always the running-mate who gets veep?

Obviously not, Rick, or Al Gore would be VP.

Or Bush would.

Posted by Ugarte  on  03/10  at  10:40 PM

That does not make sense, does it?

Posted by Rick  on  03/10  at  10:49 PM

It used to be that way.  It was modified at some point.

Um.  I’m not sure if it works, Rick.  It certainly doesn’t work if “funny” is necessary.

And Ferrari, it was changed in the XII Am.

man, we need McCain...thses are deperate times, and thus desperate measures are needed. The fact that a Dem and a Repub. could cross lines to define the evil GW would speak volumes. It would potentialy set a new standard for real bipartisian politics, and hopefully altering the course of politics in the USA. We need this ticket...John McCain I beg you (as a lifelong Democrat) join this ticket and start to heal the wounds.....
