It appears that some people (Jews, probably) are upset that the above ad for Auschwitz day trips prominently features barbed wire.
Don’t take the trip, my fellow hebrews. They promised return tickets last time.

You my friend, are very sick in the head....but funny none the less.
Odd, I was just in Krakow less than two weeks ago and did not see any of those posters. Too bad, because that is actually a really good deal, most companies were charging 120 PLN or more.
If you care (I know you don’t, but tough tookies), I arranged my own way, which was cheaper, but ended up taking longer than I expected.
Oh, and there is truth in advertising ... I saw lots of barbed wire.
I hear the showers suck, too.
they’re really in an impossible situation. how do you sell a tourist attraction like auschwitz?
As Ferrari notes, barbed wire is really central to what Auschwitz was, so I confess that I’m not sure what was offensive about it either. I just wanted to make a Holocaust joke.
It is a tough situation, upyernoz. Here is my suggestion for future advertising: a little less peppy.
