I watched Daredevil on HBO Hi-Definition last night (for a word on Hi-Def vs. DVD, see the last paragraph). It was better than I expected, but, then again, I did not expect much.

I agree, the movie isn’t that great. However, being able to watch Jennifer Garner running around in tight clothes for a while was well worth it
I must respectfully disagree. I saw this movie tonight, and it inspired me to pour acid on my eyes. And burst my eardrums with pencils. Even on a Hi-Def wide-screen plasma with surround sound, I can say with utter certainty that I would have hated this movie. In fact, added visual and auditory clarity would only have made the acting (Affleck is easily the worst, but Farrell and Garner both deserve special recognition for turning out performances that are barely recognizable as human) even more glaringly awful.
Oedipus, I mean Rick, I am glad to finally have the first movie debate.
I completely agree with you on the acting, it was awful. But in the pantheon of superhero action movies, this one was watchable, which can be saying a lot. It is quite a few levels below Spiderman, the original Batman and the X-Men movies, but I actually watched it start to finish, which I did not expect to do when I sat down to watch it. And, at least for the first half of the movie, Daredevil was a bad ass, which counts for something.
Plus, Chris’ point is quite valid.
And, for the record, no I cannot believe I am defending this movie. But this movie is not pour acid in your eyes bad. If it is, then Batman and Robin must be the equivalent of ending all life on the planet as we know it.
