Happy New YearIn spite of the election and the tsunami, and what really seems to have been a horrible year for Karol (who would disagree about the election anyway), 2004 was, without a doubt, the best year of my life.
I quit a job I hated and started a career I love. I fell in love with a woman who makes me smile every time I think about her. She loves me too. I’ve parlayed what I expected to be a passing fascination with poker into a new circle of friends. I am as close as I have ever been to Brother of Ugarte.
I am looking forward to 2005 like I have never looked forward to a year before. Here’s to more of the same in my personal life and a change for the better in the world.
Also, December 31, 2004 saw as much bloggy goodness here at Rick’s as there was in the rest of December. I’d hate to think you missed it because it is a holiday.
