I’ll be at three comedy-related events on February 1. One for my own good, one for the good of all comics and one for the good of humanity. My role in each is inversely proportional to how much they will help other people, though that isn’t really my fault. Even if you don’t care about things that are good for me it is worth reading on because I think you want to know about the thing for the good of humanity.
Next entry: Must. Breathe.
Previous entry: More nice timing
I don’t know anyone on that list other than Jim Gaffigan (not counting Ugarte ... it wasn’t clear to me, are you performing at this one?), but Gaffigan is fucking hilarious.
Not performing. I was thinking about trying to cajole Liam into putting me up, but these people are all much more experienced than I am. (I second your thoughts re: Gaffigan.) It would be like, say, putting Christian Laettner on the Dream Team…
Maybe I should ask Liam if I see him tonight.
Excepting that, at the time, Laettner could have at least laid claim (well, still can) to having had one of the most impressive college careers ever by someone not named Alcindor or Walton.
Now, if you mean that, in reality, he was a bit of a stiff who never had a chance in hell to make it big in the pros, well, don’t be so hard on yourself.
