For posterity. And bookers.
UPDATE: I admit it. This update is solely to remind the 8 people who still have this blog in bloglines about the show. Changing the date is part of the trick.
My friend Rachael Parenta has set up a show where we can get audition tapes made. Will McKinley is hosting. The show also features stranger Daniel Wright and headliner Jess Wood - the only white woman to perform on Def Comedy Jam.
Funny people all. You can read the show details on the flyer. For the record, this is the first flyer that has my name on it. I think that is a cool thing even if it’s not cool to say so out loud.

How exactly did Charles Star get top billing on this show?

Will, you have top billing. Sorry Julie spelt your name wrong on the flyer, but she worked for free.

so, how long before the Sopranos at nine, will this show end?

If we get started on time, 8:30. Probably at right around 9. But we don’t worship the Holy TiVo for nothing.

I usually do a tight 15 minutes between acts. So, if you include the closing dance number and the post-show autograph signing, we should be out by 11, 11:15 at the latest.

First of all, Will is lying. He is unlikely to do a tight 15 at any time. (Wait a second. Am I undermining my own show while promoting it? I just can’t help myself, folks. Will is very funny, OK?)
Second of all, other bloggers can start promoting this show at any time.

That’s great. I STILL can’t come to the show and according to bloglines, you have 4 subscribers, not 8.
Cheers and good luck at the show. or am I supposed to say ‘break a leg’?
Oh, and I’ll pimp the show today.l

On my bloglines it says 6, Al, so we must have different feeds. Which means 10, bitches! Thanks for the plug.

I hate myself for missing the Jess Wood set. Who are the rest of these people?

Dr. Mr. Hickory -
“The rest of these people” (Daniel, Rachael, Will) are economically disadvantaged, at-risk kids from the toughest neighborhoods of the inner city.
We perform in housing projects, homeless shelters and halfway houses across the city trying to raise money to get off public assistance and regain our lost dignity.
Check out our new show “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” premiering Saturday April 1 at 7 PM on the south side of the Union Square subway platform.
Bring friends - and plenty of change!

Mysterious rollovers: your blog has something in common with a faulty SUV.
