I admit, I actually like that Dick Cheney is the sort of guy who will tell someone “Fuck yourself.” It makes him seem like a real person.

At the same time, as Tim Grieve at Salon notes, if this really what U.S. international relations is like, no wonder the rest of the world hates us. (Link may require watching a short commercial.)

I just re-read this, and it struck me that you don’t normally think of Dick Cheney as a “real person”.  He has always seemed to me the most “real” of all the Administration folk.  He’s the pissed-off, unapologetic Old Guard bastard.  “Fuck yourself” seems totally in character to me.
