I started biking (road cycling) about a year ago after my zillionth round of physical therapy for running-related trauma to my knee. I stopped when winter hit NYC, and work prevented me from returning to it this spring. After three weeks back in the saddle, today I achieved a minor milestone. While it does not compare to some of the things I did on the bike last fall, it was very personally gratifying, and sounds kind of cool: I climbed Black Mountain.
Next entry: Because it can't be all poker and ... wait a second!
Previous entry: Wow.
I’m sure he was just a Republican out to get you.
Oh, he didn’t come anywhere near me. But if there had been a cyclist heading uphill on that turn, he likely would have killed that cyclist. And—especially on a Sunday afternoon—the odds are better than even that a cyclist will be around any given turn on that road.
Although, come to think of it, the fact that he didn’t come anywhere near me is entirely consistent with the Republican modus operandi when it comes to attacking evildoers, isn’t it?
True. But they seem to do a much better job attacking those in America who do not share their views, which is what I thought you were. But, now that I know you are an evildoer, I’m glad your terrorist ways are 3000 miles away.
Word of advice though, the best place to hide is right in the open. I bet Osama is managing a 7-11 in Afghanistan as a front.
An Arab-guy-at-the-7/11 joke? Ugh.
I didn’t know how to spell Quick-E?!? mart. Anyway, that was the desired reaction to the comment. The fact that you didn’t get that, and actually blogged a response (or did and still saw fit to comment), is truly funny.
